In Case You Missed It: José Andrés Doing José Andrés Things
We know the start of the NFL season has many of us ready to sit back on Sunday and crack open a cold one. However, José Andrés is not like the rest of us, which is why we’re dedicating today’s post to him. The celebrity chef, humanitarian, and all around symbol of hope planet Earth needs right now spent the weekend in the Bahamas helping residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. The chef and his charity, World Central Kitchen, are delivering an estimated 10,000 meals a day to those in need, and hope to be delivering 30,000 meals per day soon. Andrés has become synonymous with aiding those in need in addition to opening restaurants throughout the world, including most recently Mercado Little Spain which we think is the heart and soul of Hudson Yards.
If you want to check out Chef Andrés latest updates, be sure to follow his Twitter feed. If you are interesting in donating to the relief efforts of World Central Kitchen, you can find more information on how to do so here. Chef, if you’re reading this, don’t ever change! You inspire us to do better every day.
