NYC has no shortage of tantalizing pasta dishes, and if you’ve ever dined at SoHo’s Delicatessen, you may have even experienced some of their pasta staples- including their famed cacio e pepe.

Join us as we take our love for pasta full-circle, learning the foundations of fresh pasta making. Leading the class will be Chef Michael Ferraro, Executive Chef and Partner at Delicatessen, and founder of Macbar, a restaurant fully dedicated to gourmet macaroni & cheese.

In this hands-on class, we’ll learn to make three different pasta dishes from start to finish. Along the way, we’ll learn about the importance of fresh dough, as well as how to roll, knead, fill, and shape pasta.

Afterwards we’ll enjoy a family-style dinner of our creations- the perfect opportunity to relax and further interact with other guests and Chef Michael.

About Michael

Chef Michael Ferraro is the Executive Chef and Partner at Delicatessen, and founder of Macbar, a restaurant fully dedicated to gourmet macaroni & cheese.

Michael Ferraro’s culinary career began early on, inspired by his Southern Italian parents and their love and respect for quality and tradition. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America at age 20, Ferraro sought opportunities to further develop his own creativity.

He’s served at such establishments as Beacon Restaurant under Chef Wald Malouf, Jean-Georges, Four Seasons Hotel, Fifty Seven Fifty Seven, the Biltmore Room under Chef Gary Robbins, Cafe Centro, and Fresh in Tribeca.

A member of Zagat’s inaugural class of “30 Under 30” in 2011, Ferraro has also achieved numerous wins in New York City Wine and Food Festival.

He’s also a recurring Chef Expert alongside Jon Taffer on Spike TV’s hit series Bar Rescue, a judge on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay, and has also been featured on CBS, ABC, NBC, VH1, WPIX, Travel Channel, Iron Chef America, the Cooking Channel and Chopped on Food Network.
