Restaurants We Know You Want to Put on Your Radar: Dolly's Swing & Dive

We love a good retro dive bar opening here at Leisurely and one that incorporates Dolly Parton and nearby views of the NYC skyline is just too good to pass up. That’s why we’re letting you know we fully endorse checking out Dolly’s Swing and Dive in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Leisurely Tip: Guests should not put on Don’t Stop Believin’ until closing

Located across from East River State Park, which means it’s fairly secluded and away from the shitshow that is Bedford Avenue at night, Dolly’s has a patio that won’t help us now but come spring and summer months, will be relaxing to have a drink on (at least until Smorgasburg pops up, then all hell breaks loose around here). Though there aren’t any reports of old men in the bar at 12 noon just yet, Dolly’s dive bar credentials include cheap beer, staying open until 4 am, and menu of sophisticated but fun bar snacks like warm pretzels and taquitos from chef Joshua Cormier of Midnights.

Taquitos anyone?

For music, there’s a classic jukebox that you put money in so music comes out. The decor pays tribute to Dolly Parton as well as other notable women throughout history via portraits on the wall. Drinks include an assortment of cocktails, including a rotating frozen cocktail in case you’re an ice coffee all year round type of person.

Workin’ 9 to 5 might make you crave this cocktail.

Dolly’s Swing and Dive is open from 12 pm to 4 am. If you have no idea who Dolly Parton is, here’s one of our favorites which will now be stuck in your head forever. Your welcome.
