Join Natiya De Leon, Executive Chef at Georgian restaurant, Assaia, as she introduces us to the world of Georgian cooking.

In this hands-on class, guests will learn how to work with two different doughs to create two classic Georgian dishes- Adjaruli Khachapuri and Khinkali.

For the Adjaruli Khachapuri, an amazing boat-shaped cheese bread filled with cheese, butter and egg, you’ll learn how mix the cheese into the dough so that it keeps its shape while baking.

For the Khinkali, a juicy meat-filled dumpling, you’ll learn how to wrap the ground beef into small, flat slices of dough.

After baking and cooking, guests will get to enjoy their creations and try some Georgian wine.

Natiya De Leon

Executive Chef, Assaia

Young, talented and energetic, Natiya has been the Executive Chef at Assaia since day one. Born in Georgia, Natiya graduated from the School of Art and Design in Moscow with a degree in Fashion Design.

After transitioning from Fashion Design to Interior Design, Natiya soon realized that her daily home cooking was more than a hobby. Diving straight into her culinary career, she started out as a Chef’s helper before training as a Chef at multiple restaurants.

It soon became clear that Natiya chose the right profession, going on to start and help open several restaurants both in NYC and Moscow.
